Iron meteorite found in 1955 on his farm by Allyn Palmer. I.d. as meteorite verified by Dr. H.H. Nininger. The elongated meteorite was much rusted, and had a mass of 3.7 kg when first found. Specimen is well-described in Read's paper, cited below.
