There is a small public parking lot off of Brockelman Road for the Lancaster Town Forest, established in 1946, also known as Blood Forest after the one time owner of the property. There are many ledges containing Chiastolite, with piles of broken stone from years of people looking for specimens. Occasionally a some can be spotted along the well eroded pathways.

The town had many trees harvested in late 2016, and in doing so a good amount of "alien" crushed stone was spread over some pathways, thus making it almost impossible to find specimens along them. Though some of the extensive clearing also made some outcroppings a bit more accessible.
