Description: Only minor amounts of fresh fluorite can be seen at surface (based on my field observation), "boxwork" moulds and limonite casts after fluorite in the vein quartz are much more common. Some moulds contain a late quartz boxwork after fluorite cleavage. The boxworks I observed indicate that the fluorite tended to form distorted, elongated tetrahedrons or trapezoidal prisms more often than cubes. I would interpret some of the moulds to be cleavage rhombs due to syn-mineralisation brecciation? Some of the moulds were up to 3-4" long, although sizes of 5-10mm seem to be the most abundant size. The fluorite where seen in old prospecting pits is the common purple colour.

Description: The wavellite occurs in veins up to 15 mm thick and forms radiating yellowish green to bright green acicular crystals, often in rosettes up to 10mm in diameter, and as green botryoidal aggregates. Near the surface the wavellite is a pale yellow green and may be coated with brown limonite. Rosette specimens from deeper levels often show yellow centres with bright green terminations free of limonite.
