A Pb-Zn occurrence/mine located in the SE¼SW¼SW¼ sec. 6, T25N, R30W, 5th Principal Meridian, 1.3 km (0.8 mile) SSW of Granby (city center), within the city limits. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
The ore body is 4 meters thick with a depth-to-top of 40 meters, a width of 13 meters and a length of 60 meters. Ore body #1 is tabular, disseminated. Ore body #2 is a replacement body. Ore body #3 is breccia fill. The primary mode of origin was hydrothermal activity. Primary ore control was fracturing and secondary control was a contact zone. Wallrock alteration is intense (silicification, dolomitization). Local rocks include rocks of the Meramecian series.
Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 70 meters, comprised of 9 shafts. Workings are flooded and plugged.
