Remote gold mining area located east of Letpanhla and west of Maupin Chaung (Maupin stream).
Small-scale mines on Nga-pein Taung (Nga-pein mountain). Numerous adits follow narrow and brecciated pyrite-bearing quartz veins in gneiss. Very fine-grained gold is bound to the pyrite.
The processing is done in the nearby village (Wabaw-chap).
The mineralogy is currently being studied by Kolitsch et al.
