A small gold mine high above the south side of Canyon Creek. The ore occurred as quartz veins along shear zones in quartzite of the Harts Pass Formation. It produced ore in 1910 but poor grades, mill recoveries, and access caused it to be unprofitable. It was developed by some short adits and a small stamp mill.

Tectonics: Cascade Volcanic Arc
Deposit: 6 quartz veins, most 1-3 ft thick and one 7-20 ft thick, in east-trending shear zones in quartzite. 6 patented claims ; info.src : 1 pub lit

Geology: Rocks in area are fine-grained gray geldspathic sandstone with minor shale that strike n20-40 W and dip 70-90ne. Small body of early tertiary granodiorite intrudes rocks on south end of claims
