Hohenrode is a district ("Ortsteil") of the town of Rinteln in the district of Schaumburg in Lower Saxony.
The state road L 433 runs through the town. The Weser flows on the northern outskirts. Not far from Hohenrode is the Grossenwieden Weser car ferry.
