A former Au prospect located in the NE¼SE¼ sec. 1, T2S, R13E, SBM, in the eastern Pinto Mountains, on National Park Service land (Joshua Tree National Park). Owned by James Hayes, Dr. H.M. Farnham, Culver City, California. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in granite porphyry. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings include unspecified underground openings (the topo map reflects 1 shaft symbol and 1 structure symbol labeled "Outlaw Mine" at this point).
