The first report found was 1909, a year after the discovery of gold at Eastern Creek. Chiavi and Edmund (surnames) are working the lease, adjoining the Rose lease to the east.
In 1911, it is reported Clifford and O'Brien (surnames) had 120 tonnes of ore at grass. Edmunds and Garland had 45 tonnes also from the same lease.
By 1914, the lease had produced 350.25 tonnes of ore for 591.47 ounces of gold. GML 178L. 6 acres.
Another report surfaces in 1924, with a crushing but no names are mentioned.
Gibb-Maitland states the workings were a series of open cuts down to a depth of 10 feet. The reef was 6 to 12 inches wide, of dark coloured quartz, which carries large pyrite crystals called 'devils dice'. At the north-east boundary of the lease is a pipe like body, 4 feet wide, down to 40 feet below the surface in soft brown schist which changes to black at depth.
