A salt deposit located 10.5 km (6.5 miles) SW of Elkhart, W of Road 319, on private land. Discovered in 1937. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.

Mineralization is a salt dome deposit (Mineral occurrence model information: Model code: 252; USGS model code: 35a.4 (35ad); Deposit model name: Salt domes: diapiric salt structures), hosted in the Late Jurassic Louann Salt. The ore body is a diapir with a depth-to-top of 3,098.29 meters. The depth to the salt is 10,168 feet with no caprock. Local rocks include the Queen City Sand.

Oil, condensate and natural gas production occurred during the period 1938-1958.
