Nooitgedacht farm 381 JP located approx 70 km west of Rustenburg. An active diamond mine, currently owned by Petra Diamonds. The deposit consists of a set of sub-parallel kimberlite dykes intruded into Proterozoic lavas. At least six dykes occur in the area; their diamond grades vary considerably, and one of them is barren. The diamonds from this mine have distinct colours, such as orange-amber or blue; stones with multiple colours occur as well.
