The Lucky Bay gold prospect is about 5 kilometres south of the Randalls processing plant. Gold is found in carbonaceous shales, and siltstone, and is structurally controlled. The mineralisation strikes north north-west, and dips 60 degrees south south-west. There is a supergene zone located above the un-oxidised mineralisation.
Gold is associated with abundant pyrrhotite, and alteration minerals chlorite-magnetite-carbonates, mineralisation up to 10 metres wide, and 200 metres long.
