One of 2 U-bearing ore bodies of the Vistula Spit, located at ca. 750-800 m b.s.l.
The name Ptaszkowo appears in the history of village Piaski, now colloquially used to refer to the western part of the village.
Sandstone-type uranium mineralization, at ca. 750-800 m b.s.l., within the Elbląg Fm. of the peribaltic syneclise. Mean U content is 0.26% and there is also a high amount of V, Se, Mo, Pb, and As.
