Copper mine workings were developed in 1895 on narrow quartz-iron oxide-calcite veins in host slate and dolomite of the Angepena Formation. Location uncertain, reported as Section J Hundred Baroota, in particular claims 10541, 10542 granted in 1917. Main workings of an open cut 12m long by 5m deep on the slope of a hill, and a shaft to 52m, and numerous pits and diggings. The area was initially thought prospective for gold (Easter Gift prospect), with a value of 60g/t reported in 1895. Subsequent prospecting failed to recover payable gold. Shows of copper mineralisation were encountered, and a shaft was excavated in 1899 for recorded production of 4.5 tonne of sorted ore at 15.5%Cu. Later an open cut was developed, no production figures available, reported grades of sorted ore at 4%Cu, to 8%Cu.
