A large lead-silver mine NW of Colville near Bossburg. The ore occurred as lenses following the bedding of phyllite along and near the contact with argillite. Development consisted of a 565' deep incline shaft with a 2000' adit connecting to one of the upper levels. The shaft had seven levels with around 9800' of workings along it. It produced roughly 100,000 tons of ore sporadically from before 1890 to 1954. Mills (1977) reported the production to contain 24,880,000 lbs Pb, 230,000 lbs Zn, and 238,000 oz Ag.
Structure: Beds Dip Ne Dip 30-45 Nw Anticline Plunging Nw.

Alteration: Upper 20 To 50 Feet Of Phyllite Bleached

Deposit: Ore is in massive layers of fine-grained steel galena and pyrite - either along phyllite - argillite contact or As veins in phyllite said to be 20 feet thick above 4 level but thins to 8 inches on 7 level. Size 100,000 tons
