The Parmelia Gold Mine is an open pit, mined by Navigator Resources between 2008 to 2011. It is 20 kilometres south of the Bronzewing Gold Mine. The Success mine is to the north and Challenger mine to the south.

Gold is hosted in a steep east dipping shear zone, within a black shale horizon, intruded by porphyries. The host rock on the west side of the deposit is polymictic cobble conglomerate, with rounded clasts of granite and quartz veins.
