O tratamento do minério, talvez fosse feito no local, aproveitando a madeira do pinhal, que lhe ficava a Norte (in: Exploração Económica e Administrativa dos Coutos de Alcobaça http://teses-teses.blogspot.pt/2011/09/exploracao-economica-e-administrativa.html).
