This area is about 85 kilometres north of Sandstone, and 5 kilometres north of the Colga Downs (East) station turn-off. It is very close to the border of the Sandstone and Meekatharra Shires, and close to the Sandstone-Meekatharra Road. The area contained several short lived gold mines between 1906 to 1912.
The main reef was called Legacy, which ran for about 2 kilometres, trending north-south, west dipping. However, gold values were patchy, and no mine lasted long. The surface was covered in calcrete, with strewn quartz, with reefs only outcropping occasionally. The reef was said to be very fractured, with many cubical cavities, left where pyrite cubes had weathered out. Lining these cavities was gold, and some very fine gold in the solid quartz in places.
