The Ladybird prospect is 20 kilometre south-east of Sandstone, and maps place it a kilometre or two north of the Havilah gold mine. The prospect was discovered by Western Mining Corporation sometime in their exploration period of the district from the 1970's to 1990's.
The prospect has an estimated resource of 115 000 tonnes of ore at 3.5 g/t down to 100 metres below the surface. However, in another section of the source it states the JORC resource is 157 600 tonnes at 2.41 g/t at a 1 g/t cut-off.
Drilling identified three mineral envelopes trending north-south with a vertical dip.
