Other/historical names associated with this locality:
Star of Erin; G.G.

GML 135. Held by the Midas Gold Mining Company. However the company was more focussed on developing its John Bull lease elsewhere on the field than GML 135. One shaft was called Browns on GML 135, at 65 feet deep on the Midas Reef. There was another shaft at 70 feet deep on a smaller north-south trending reef to the east.

Between the two reefs are some quartz porphyry diorite dykes. The amphibolite country rock near the dykes has been altered to mica schist. The lease was voided in October 1898.

It then was taken over by Graham (surname) for four months in 1899, then the G.G. Mine GML 743. This lease was voided August 1900, but held by the same party until January 1904, when it became the Star of Erin mine GML 905. In July 1905, it was again applied for still as the Star of Erin, but GML 946.
