Mararoa North No.1 Mine
This historic gold mine was located on the Mararoa Reef, in the vicinity of the Mararoa, Mararoa Extended and Excelsior gold mines. GML 67. 12 acres.
The main shaft was down to 35 feet, with two more on the lease at 40 and 65 feet depth. The lease was voided in October 1898. It was re-applied as GML 939. The lease was located on the steep side of a hill.
