The Mistletoe Gold Mine is an out of the way and little visited historic gold mine developed for a few years from the mid 1930's to early 1940's. It is reached via a faint track heading south-west from the Radio Gold Mine for about 3 kilometres. The mine is located within a north-west trending shallow valley. It contains a few shafts, minor mullock, and a dam.
J.E. Day and his nephew developed the mine from at least 1935. Alex Barr from the Radio Gold Mine held an adjoining lease, and approached Western Mining Corporation. They took out an option over both leases the beginning of 1939. After several months they decided to purchase the leases. They employed eight men, and small crushings were found from the company from this time until 1942. Ounces generally matched tonnages, which made it normally economical, but the period saw rapidly rising costs, and a labour shortage.
Samuel Lang from the Radio Deeps gold mine, made a new find, and pegged a lease in the vicinity in 1942. The place may have been the haunt of the lone prospector since but no information was found.
