Rowan's Find is an area of old gold workings in the scrub, approximately 1 to 3 kilometres south-east of the Radio Gold Mine, and generally east of the Mt Jackson Road. The area covers maybe 1600 metres by 500 metres. It was developed briefly in 1910, as part of the Bullfinch gold boom (bubble), that burst a year later. Several companies sank prospecting shafts and alluvial workings. Some found a bit of gold. Many pegged leases, took in shareholder money, then closed with no work done. There was a Rowan's Find Gold Mining Company as part of this, who quickly moved onto develop other mine sites in the Eastern Goldfields.
