Old Hg mine, also known as Mandrioni or Ripacci, located at 450 m asl, on the right side of Fiora River, near the village of Petricci.
At the mine, which operated in the period 1898-1971, traces of ancient and medieval workings have also been found (De Castro, 1914; Strappa, 1977). In particular, probably Neolithic/Chalcolithic tools (a stone axe head and some spuds obtained from deer antlers) were found in 1908 among the debris inside the remnants of an ancient inclined shaft (Mochi, 1915).
