(Map- the Meekatharra-Sandstone Road on Google Maps is incorrectly located. The road is actually further east from the mine).

Gwalia Extended (GML 872N), Fenian South (GML 1019N), Judy (GML 925N). The source lumps these mines together as the Gwalia Extended Group. The Gwalia Extended Mine was taken out by J. Eves in 1909, Fenian South by W.J. Weekley in 1910, and Judy by D. Morris in 1909. All had small gold yields.

Rocks found here is black carbonates, fuchsite which becomes increasingly common the further south on the field you go, porphyry, and some sort of green gritty un-named rock laced with continuous bands of limonite. The porphyry carries many quartz veins at the 93 and 125 foot level in the mines. It also at this level carries nests of schorl, in some instances there is more schorl than quartz, and the species is said to be abundant.

The most valuable gold is found in quartz stringers in fuchsite rock close to black schist. I have seen one specimen in an overseas museum of gold decorating green fuchsite from this area, and it is a sight to behold. The stringers dip at low angles, with gold values increasing where they join.
