Various diggings and shafts which borders the Cue townsite on the north-east, and is east of the highway. Sometimes known historically as Caledonian Hill. Caledonian, New Caledonian, Caledonian Extended, Caledonian South, Success, and the Australian are some of the mine names known in the late 1890's. The Caledonian Hill Gold Mining Company was sluicing gold in this area in the late 1890's. In 1903 the area was purchased by the local council as a water source from the shafts for the town.
