The open pit is located 500 metres south south-west of the Pinnacle/Comet Mines. It is hosted in Archaean mafic dolerite. Mineralisation occurs as narrow (under 5 metres wide) sediment, and consists of quartz sulphide veins, which dip 80 degrees east, and plunges shallowly north. The ore body pinches out at depth.
