A small mine, started in 1881, which worked three lodes on the east side of Swan Pool that were opened up by short adits, one at the northeastern corner of the lake, the others 230 yards and 290 yards further south. It was abandoned in 1882.
The middle lode was the richest; it carried galena, arsenopyrite and calcite. This suggests that the mine was worked for lead, but it is elsewhere listed as a copper mine (e.g. Hunt, 1883).
The grid reference is centered on the area.
