Katembe is a small village some 2km east of Dinde and 1 km north of national highway A8 which leads from Bulawayo to Victoria Falls.
A shallow ridge some 400m NE of Katembe is composed of entirely silicified lithologies. They contain numerous narrow veins and vugs lined with small quartz crystals. Some of these vugs contain a second generation of Herkimer-like quartz double-enders.
