Rutile in quartz veins embedded in mica schist.
Road cuts for the dirt road, which connects Nasoncio to Alpe Dosso Cavallo, have evidenced some mineralised quartz veins.

The area, in which quartz blocks are found, can be reach from Nesoncio, a small village below Gerola Alta. The pedestrian route to be taken starts at an elevation of 1080 m, at the end of the asphalt road after the church of Nasoncio, following the dirt road which penetrates into the wooded Bomino Valley along its left orographic side.
Military constructions (a trench, a gallery and two open windows in the rock wall) dating back to the First World War (in order to defend the southern Orobic valleys in the event of invasion of Valtellina by the Austro-Hungarian army) are preserved in the upper part of the valley.

Revised coordinates still to be considered approximate in the order of +\- 100 meters, still along the road.
