Credo Station is 60 kilometres west of Ora Banda. The meteorite was discovered on the station by P. J. Howell in 1967.
The mass is faceted, cushion shaped, with a smooth chocolate brown melted skin covering most of it. Where the surface is broken it is reddish coloured with a weathered interior. Specific gravity is 3.41. It weighs 10.82 kg.
Cut faces are greenish grey of medium texture, specked by sparse light coloured chondrules, and patches of metal surrounded by brown oxide stains.
It is a highly crystallised olivine-hypersthene chondrite, with dominant olivine and subordinate orthopyroxene. The nickel iron and troilite aggregates are coarse and irregular. There are small grains of plagioclase, a few displaying albite twinning.
The specimen is held by the School of Mines at Kalgoorlie.
