The Ubique deposit consists of several tourmaline pegmatites intruding NE-striking mica schists of the Tshontanda Formation in the Dett-Kamativi Inlier. The main pegmatite striking NE, is 70-80 m wide and markedly zoned, with an irregular quartz core. It produced 226 tons of sheet mica, 9047 tons of scrap/waste/flake mica in 1965-81 and 11.34 tons of beryl in 1965-66. In 2009 and 2010 minor production of mica briefly resumed.
