An obscure Au mining district, located along Butte Creek in the vicinity of Forks of Butte, and mentioned in the referenced USGS MRDS database file(s). NOTE: MRDS file #10035997 places the nearby Tiger Mine (0.4 km) in the "Forrest District," apparently named after a nearby ranch (Forrest Ranch). These "districts" would, of necessity, be synonymous.
