Economic Pb-Zn ore bodies are hosted within interlayer fracture zones of the Dajing Formation dolomitic limestone, occurring as stratoid to lenticular lenses with attitudes consistent with the host strata (dipping NWW and SEE at 6–18°). The mineralized zone extends discontinuously for 5 km along strike, containing five ore belts, three ore horizons, and eight individual ore bodies. Ore body thickness reaches up to 10 m at fold hinges, gradually thinning toward the limbs. The mineralized zone averages 300 m in width, with the western limb wider than the eastern limb. Two hydrothermal stages are recognized at the Wuyi Pb deposit based on the crosscutting relationships of veins, ore textures and mineral assemblages, including pyrite, sphalerite, dolomite, and calcite (Stage I), and galena, calcite, quartz, and anhydrite (Stage II).
