This is a small, 175 x 125 meters, single-level operating quarry.
The following description has been taken from the Deposit File of the Ministère des ressources naturelles et de la faune (MRN), a provincial department :
Essentially a clayslate, mostly brownish-red but at times grayish-green, of the Mawcook Formation.
Disseminated quartz veins, and also fragments of a dark grey, porous rock (trachyte, possibly) containing cleaved, green subhedral crystals (pyroxene ?) are present in the quarry.
Minerals are limited to saddle-shaped, iron-stained dolomite, small calcite crystals, and traces of pyrite.
