Abandoned quartz quarry in a silicified baryte vein, located east of Katzenstein cliff. Inside the pit, the copper-rich cementation zones that occurred in the wall rocks at a short distance from the vein, were well exposed. The quarry, which is now backfilled and landscaped, was worked intermittently by the Helmut Walter Company of Gadernheim and the Heinrich Schneider Company of Reichenbach.
