A division of Hanson Bricks Ltd., this very shallow (max. 3 meters) 1,100 x 600 meter quarry is operated for the on-site manufacturing of bricks. It was originally opened at the beginning of the 20th century.

The following description was taken from the Deposit File of the MRNF (Ministère des ressources naturelles et de la faune) :

The quarried rock is a shale of the Nicolet Formation, covered by glacial clay. This dark gray shale encloses thin interbeds of sandstone, and some limestone.

In the eastern part of the quarry, a conspicuous igneous dyke can be followed on the floor. This dyke is similar to one of the Dulude Quarry at Mont Saint-Bruno, and presents the same mineralization : millimetric, amethystine quartz crystals and dogtooth calcite on orange dolomite crystals.
