An andalusite-graphite occurrence.

NOTE: This occurrence may, or may not, be synonymous with the occurrence of andalusite at the Auld Lang Syne Mine, Sierra District, clarification pending further data. Castor and Ferdock (2004), Minerals of Nevada: 137 place the Auld Lang Syne Mine in the Blue Wing District; however, prior data places it in the Sierra District.

Mineralogy consists of andalusite crystals, up to 3 x 12 cm in size, in a matrix of graphite-rich, pelitic pyroxene-hornfels.
