Just north of Katrine Ontario, lot 10, Concession III, Armour Township, a service road (Katrine Road) leads north to Burk's Falls. This roadcut has been blasted out as part of the highway 11 upgrade.
On the west, southwest side of the service road, is a large cut estimated 150 meters long and some 15 to 20 meters high in places. It appears a large amount of rock has been removed and used in road construction.
Opposite, on the east, northeast side of the road is a smaller exposed face blasted parallel to the service road. It would be aproximately 60 meters long and maybe 3 to 4 meters high at the most.
This roadcut is of substantial size like others located along the highway corridor and the service road that runs parallel to it, within Armour Township boundaries.
