An old apatite locality is situated west of Lofthus Farm and southwest of Snarum Church. Brøgger and Reusch (1875) describe an apatite‑bearing outcrop as exposed in a steep wall on the eastern side of a low gabbro ridge ("Gabbrofelsen”).

The coordinates are approximate, needs to be confirmed.
