A variety of Oligoclase with Anorthite:Albite between 80:20 and 90:10. Now regarded as a superflous subdivision of Oligoclase. [Clark, 1993 - "Hey's Mineral Index"]
Originally described from Dypingdal Serpentine-magnesite deposit, Snarum, Modum, Buskerud, Norway.
