Cataclastic and granoblastic-sacaroidal blue-banded marble containing iron, zinc and lead ores mineralization. On site named Llanos de la Plata-Los Angelitos, we can visit the old mining group where lead-silver-zinc ores were mainly worked by shafts, and east-west adits, inside the plains of Blanca Unit. Ore veins are irregular in thickness, containing galena, brownish marmatite, pyrite, fluorite, cerussite and minor anglesite. Occasionally greenish-grey smithsonite masses, and yellowish-green pyromorphite crusts were collected in the past.
Limonite gossan crops out on the surface.
Close to cortijo Jarapalos, large limonite pseudomorphs after pyrite crystals (pentagondodecahedral habit) up to 6cm were collected in vertical veins along weathered zones. Crystal fills open spaces in sacaroidal marble (decomposed in sand calcite-dolomite crystals).
