A gold mine north of Chesaw next to the Reco Mine. The ore occurred as a vein in greenstone. It was developed by two adits, one 813' long and the other 360' long. 50 tons of ore were shipped to the Northport smelter.
Structure: The Kobau Formation Was Deposited Proximal To Island Arcs Along A Convergent Continental Margin.
Deposit: Carmen: N 30 w, 85 sw, 300 m long - grande and maria eugenia: N 45 w, 75 ne, 500 m long - triunfo: N 70 w, 80 NE to 80 sw, 500 m long (2) about 4.8 km W of maria eugenia. Has assays up to 60 oz/ton Ag and 1 oz/ton au. Two adits, 360 and 813 feet in length, respectively, were driven into the hillside to intersect the vein at depth (moen, 1980, p. 40). ; info.src : 1 pub lit
