Double Header Mine; Grand Coulee Mine; Ruby Silver Mine
A silver mine above Nespelem. It is located on the Southeast slope of the southeastern spur of Mineral Hill, on the opposite side of the spur from the Apache Mine, 3/4 of a mile away. It worked ore shoots along a fracture zone in granite 2'-10' wide, largely replaced by quartz. Development includes 3,000' of workings on 3 levels including a shaft, 7 stopes, and 3 adits. It produced 33 tons of ore in 1911-1912, and small amounts from 1937-1954.
Ore from this mine was shipped to the Tacoma Smelter (http://www.mindat.org/loc.php?loc=52739)
NOTE: Pardee (1918) list an "oxide of antimony" from one of the levels but does not specify further
