At Hylkan there is 3 old mines. They are located basically on the shore between Brantevik and Gislövshammar. These are: Abrahamsgruvan (Gullhålet) in the North, Isaksgruvan (Gamla gruvan) in the middle and Jakobsgruvan (Nya gruvan) in the South.
These were mined in the 17th century for silver & lead with poor result. Intensive fluorite production during WWII for the aluminium industry.
