Located near Tillkausen, 3.5 km ESE of Eckenhagen.
Note: "Tilkhausen" is a misnomer.

The history of mining at "Silberkuhle" dates back to at least February 11, 1741 when the right to exploit the mine was granted. The ownership of the mine changed twice and was eventually operated as “Wächter”.
The Wächter mine had a 250-metre-long mine shaft. the ore body consisted offine-grained galena, some chalcopyrite and zinc blende in greywacke and clay slate and had an average thickness of 40 to 50 cm.
In 1846, mining was resumed with the help of a 30 m deep, shallow shaft. It turned out that the deposit had been mined down to its bottom.

In 1920 and 1921, prospecting work was carried out on the Silberkuhle near the villages of Hahn and Wiehl, but without success. It is doubtful whether the suspected ore veins belonged to those of the Wächter mine.

Remnants of mine workings can be found in the wooded area around the Silberkuhle.
Small pieces of galena and rarely chalcopyrite can be found with luck on the mine dumps.
Finds of geerite are documented in Weiss (1990) for this locality.
