A Au mining area located 45 miles ENE of Madera.

NOTE: The MRDS database presents several files with localities attributed to this district. Analysis of those files reveals that there is no logic or consistency to the attributions. Localities along the North Fork Mad River (Coastal Range), North Fork Coffee Creek, and North Fork Trinity River, as well as localities along the East Fork North Fork Trinity River (East Fork District) are all included in this highly unlikely hodge-podge grouping. The greatest number of files relate to localities along the North Fork Trinity River; therefore, only those latter files will retain the "North Fork District" grouping status.
