Ref.: New York State Museum Bull. 223,224, Newland, David H. (July-August 1919), The Mineral Resources of the State of New York: 163-164. An occurrence of molybdenite located just South of Boyd Pond near Russell. Occurs in a green pyroxene rock at a gneiss-limestone contact. Veins of coarse phlogopite-pyroxene material course through the wall rock.
