Located about 5.5 miles north of Breezewood and 5.2 miles northeast of Tatesville. Limited production, of about 600 tons of manganese ore ranging from 10 to 45%, in Mississippian age Pocono sandstone and Mauch Chunk formation red shale.

Bikerman et al.(1999) obtained a K/Ar geologic age of 12.5 +/- 1.5 Ma on a sample of cryptomelane collected and verified by X-ray powder diffraction by R. C. Smith, II.
