A roadcut on the east side of highway 507. the cut is made up of calcite veins. Spherical graphite occurs in calcite boudins and coarse-grained calcite in roadcuts 3 to 5 km south of Gooderham. The GPS co-ordinates are for the northern-most roadcut. The graphite is scarce as spheres, from sub-mm to nearly 10-mm diameter. Very rarely, the spheroidal aggregates have micrometer-size graphite cones on the surfaces. The most common kind of graphite is very fine-grained and in streaks parallel to plastic flow of the calcite.
